“Why pay for some shit when u r getting the best for free…?”

People always follow this concept. So, called the term piracy has been making every paid software free. Piracy is a crime. It’s a known fact. But who cares??? ”Money for nothing, things for free!”. I know that most them use pirated copies of windows as our operating system. Obviously the softwares which usually come with a cost are the one’s which get pirated always. You might be a victim of software piracy. Using pirated software or redistributing it is an offense.

Cops can put you behind the bars for piracy. But I don’t think it can ever happen in INDIA in years to come. Probably because even the cops would be using a pirated version of windows in their workplace (ha ha ha… sounds funny but true). In order to keep your self away from such problems you can purchase it. But why do you want to pay for some shit when you can get one even better for free.

When it comes to an operating system, everyone thinks of Windows. Some might not even know which company makes it.

And not everyone would know what Linux means.

These days whenever I go through few of countless chatting sites, I see people write about hacking & thinking themselves cool of knowing a trick that they learnt it over some tutorials. As outdated it might be!

First of all, I think hacking is not something you use it to show off! I call them douche bags who use it to be ostentatious over the net! You’re just another looser.

The concept of hacking has a positive and negative aspect as well. Well I don’t think explaining all that is something I’m thinking of.

The smartphone war in the world is intensifying day by day. And with NEXUS ONE its still got tougher.
Google , which is well known as the most popular & powerful search engine releases its Nexus one phone. NEXUS ONE is another masterpiece from the internet giant GOOGLE, to serve it’s reputation once again.

Google Nexus One is literally a “Smart Phone”. I mean it makes you feel dumb!
Nexus One is manufactured by HTC Mobile. Yet another stupendous creation after HTC Diamond
Its an android based mobile phone that is developed on Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 (Eclair).
Android, as you folks might have known is google’s indigenous operating system. Basically Linux oriented. Of course it’s an open source. Folks around the world can use it & contribute for it for free. Not like mean Microsoft people trying to absorb like freaking virus!
You can build your own applications and use them on it.(sounds cool right…)
With a sleeky design and a strong metal body Google fans are very much impressed with the announcement of Nexus One Technology.
Its got a very cool interface ( ya’d go crazy for sure) and a superb look. Its like the killer of smartphones.

Folks these days around the world are using internet to an extent they can’t live without it. They’d rather quit brushing their teeth & take bath. Sad but true.

Well my intention is throw some light on the concept of “STATIC IP ADDRESS & DYNAMIC IP ADDRESS”

First of all is it necessary to have two of them? Well of course technology ain’t dumb enough to stress for nothing.

Basically IP (Internet Protocol) provides set of basic rules to be followed while communicating. Here IP address is the address given to each computer, precisely the Ethernet card in the LAN. Hence it’s a way to recognize the machine.

Static IP address is like your name. It stays same or is permanent. Well unless you change your name for some corny reasons.

You configure the machine with that static IP address once for all. It won’t change at all. So it’s like the machine name & the DNS name stays same. You’ll be stuck with the same name forever.

Now what’s DNS?

DNS (Domain Name System) is system where in a hierarchical method of naming is given for all the stuff related to internet. Be it application, service or machine itself. Hierarchical in sense relative to it’s origin, which is meaningful. Like you , your father, your country etc. DNS keeps track of all the information like the domain, sever name & related stuff. For example a list of mail servers to accept emails.

In common words DNS matches host & it’s IP. Take for instance you read a website as name eg http://www.ironmaiden .com but the DNS will give it a name something like 192.56.1.35.

Results.vtu.ac.in makes sense with the hierarchical naming.

Static IP makes the access faster than dynamic IP, but it shucks as new LAN machine needs reconfiguration & gets you indulged in the blues again!

Dynamic IP

The IP were limited in number, since they represented finite numbers. A new approach by our beloved scientists working their sweat off proposed dynamic IP address.

Dynamic IP addressing takes help of DHCP! Now what in earth is this DHCP?

Well I tell you what.

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol as the name suggest is meant for a computer which requests for an IP address  from a pool of IP address.

From these pool of IP address, a temporary IP address is selected & this IP address is the dynamic IP address. The allocation of Dynamic IP can be done either in

Dynamic allocation –Where a DHCP machine requests for an IP & based on best features for that client the IP address available is given.

Automatic allocation-Where a free IP available is allotted. It probably would be the previously held IP address.

Dynamic IP address are like temporary pass. After a valid time a new IP address is generated. Dynamic IP address are configured too. It’s not like nobody can trace as it keeps changing! You might notice in your gmail account about the details of IP addresses used during the session. For a dynamic IP address it keep track of all the IP addresses that were used. Generally the starting numbers of the address’d be same which states the DNS hierarchical structure.

To add up security from unauthorized server to use up all the IP address pool, authenticated servers only are allowed, but you know hackers would find another way out!

Dynamic IP addressing is what going on nowdays & it’s cool because new LAN can be automatically configured. And you don’t have worry about configuring! Just pin it & ride on!

But …………there’s a thing. What if there’s no IP address available in the pool for you?

Answer: You get whooped! It’s show an error saying limited or no connectivity  in your network connections!

So Dr.Deadly what do I do!

I’d recommend to restart the modem or wait! If nothing works well………restart & wait!

There’ll be a IP address soon meant for you!

Configuration

Static IP address

static IP configuration

Start>control panel>network connection>local area network>properties>Internet protocol(TCP/IP)>properties>use following IP address &OK

Dynamic IP address

Dynamic IP configuration

Start>control panel>network connection>local area network>properties>Internet protocol(TCP/IP)>properties>obtain IP address automatically.&OK
